Eduplace. com

Hi Everyone,
There are lots of great maths activities to explore in the 'Eduplace'. You will find their link under 'sites to explore on your own' in the right side margin. You will find all the maths activities for each grade level there. I had a lot of fun playing around with this hundreds chart in the Year 1 section. If you would like to have a go too just click here!

ABCYA - 100 Snow Balls

Hi everyone,

Have a go at making something, anything you like out of snow balls. The catch is that you can only use 100 balls. 100 Snow Balls is a game that will keep you carefully counting until the job is done! What do you think of my snow spider ?

Animal See-Saw

Hi Everyone,

Animal See-Saw is another game that I just had to add because it is so good. The aim of the game is to keep the see-saw in balance by adding animals to each side without exceeding a total of 5kg on either side. It offers good practise reading kilo measurements and devlops 'counting on' and 'difference between' skills.

Peep And The Big Wide World- Hop To It

Hi Everyone,
Our feature maths site for the day is Hop To It. When you have entered the site click on the word 'games' and then choose the' Hop to it' link. The aim of the game is to get the frog across the pond, by jumping on lily pads, without it falling into the water. it requires you to estimate distances and choose the the right amount of spring for the job. A click on the hyperlink will take you there!

It's Been a Long Time

Hi Everyone,
It has been a long time since I posted an entry on this page! I have been busy expanding and maintaining other parts of the blog. But we have been using this site everyday during our maths groups and our choice time activity block. Which links do you like using. If you know of any good ones that are not included here send me a message about them so I can include them on the blog. Don't forget to save your favourites to your own blog if you have one, or to your 'favourites' on your computer.

Welcome to Our Maths Blog

The Junior Crew Kids use this blog to complete in class and home work activities. The links in the left margin are organised to cater for the needs of my class groups.

The post area contains links to maths sites that I use during small group teaching. Click on the picture to access the site.

The area headed 'Explore on Your Own' lists the sites that I use to find the links for my class. It's a great place to look for new resources.
